The Brief
Improving the interface and experience of The Times and Sunday Times websites and native applications.
The process
Collaborative interface design
Working within the Acquisition and Engagement product teams, as well as the UXD team, I played a key role in defining and enhancing the interface and overall user experience. I collaborated closely with Product Managers and Engineers to understand user requirements and design features that seamlessly integrated into the larger user experience and flows.
Deliverables Creation
I produced a range of deliverables, including wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, flows, and concepts.
User-Centred Design
I actively participated in research initiatives, working alongside UX Researchers and Product Managers. This involved conducting usability tests, surveys, and interviews to gather valuable insights and feedback from users. By integrating user feedback into the design process, I contributed to creating user-centric solutions that addressed pain points and improved overall satisfaction.
Responsive Design and Technical Requirements
Understanding the principles of responsive design, I ensured that the interface and user experience were optimised across various devices and screen sizes. Working within the requirements of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I collaborated closely with development teams to bring the design concepts to life while maintaining a seamless user experience.
Collaboration with Design Systems Team
I actively collaborated with the design systems team to align with established design patterns and components.
Stakeholder Presentations
I regularly presented concepts and designs to senior stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions and effectively communicating the benefits and impact on the user experience. These presentations facilitated alignment, collaboration, and decision-making across the organisation.
